NOTD: Julep Florence with a Julep Paris accent

I think I can count on one hand the number of times I have worn beige nails.  I typically don't find this look very flattering with my skin tone.  The other night I was too lazy to go downstairs and grab a different colour, so I picked up the only one that was within arms reach.  It was Julep Florence.  First of all, I love this name because it reminds me of Florence and the Machine, which is one of my favourite bands.  Cosmic Love, anyone?!

I don't know what has changed for me, but I was completely enamoured with this colour once it was applied to my nails.  I also applied Julep's Paris, which is an absolute MUST HAVE glitter for any polish fiend.  This glitter goes well with almost any colour scheme, as an accent nail.

Has anyone else suddenly changed their mind about a nail look that they previously disliked?!

Review: Sally Hansen Kwik Off

Nail polish lovers, listen up!!  This product has changed my life.  Okay, well, that might be a little dramatic. But, honestly, I can't believe I waited so long to try this.  I just bought my second tub, as you can see in the picture above.  The tub on the right is one that I used for approximately two months.  After awhile, the nail polish remover inside dissipates, and it becomes more difficult to get the polish off.  Once I bought a new one, the polish came off, eezy-peezy again.  I thought about just trying to pour more nail polish remover in, but the weird colour it had turned over time just demanded that it be thrown away, lol.

The premise of this product is that you stick your fingernail in one of the sections and move it back and forth. This will take pretty much any nail polish off in no time at all. I even found that this took my glitter polish off a lot faster, and took less work than trying to use a cotton pad.  My hand sometimes cramps up with how long it takes to get glitter polish off using a normal cotton pad.

I typically do my nails twice a week, and this has saved me tons of time in my nail routine.  Give it a try!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Punch Drunk

This colour is an awesome example of the Pantone Colour of the Year for 2014:  Radiant Orchid!  It is a beautiful, creamy, purply pink colour.  The consistency of this is nice, and was opaque in two coats.  The brush in the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure is enormous;  it's quite a bit larger than the brushes in a Revlon, or Essie nail polish, for example.  I paired this with ELF Twinkle Twilight on my accent nail, which is a clear polish with fine, silver sparkles.  Love it!
